Job Description: 

The Senior Application Specialist supports a group of applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies. This individual will work closely with AMS Supplier Partners providing production support  and overseeing the day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met. The Senior Application Specialist supports software and hardware maintenance and upgrades, monitoring application availability and performs RIC function for SR's. This particular individual will have support responsibility for financial planning and forecasting applications utilizing Essbase technology. Primary responsibilities include daily guidance to supplier partners in providing:  24x7x365 application incident support responding and resolving issues submitted through the ticketing system Mainframe processing reductions.  The selected candidate will be responsible for restructuring applications to improve stability Sun-downing of unused applications and components, application changes to support software upgrades, application migrations to new hardware.  The Senior Application Specialist will conduct daily application monitoring for availability SLA management through SLA reviews with supplier partners, change controls within the application portfolio, review application changes for permanent fixes; ensure completion of root causes analysis, application. 

Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 6 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing and implementing Essbase solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge of various technologies (web, mainframe)
  • Analytical, detail oriented and a strategic thinker with ability to grasp business challenges
  • Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and consolidation processes
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management and other tools that could be used for enterprise solutions
  • Experience with financial consolidation software tools such Hyperion Financial Management
  • Functional knowledge of accounting, capital expenditures and cash management desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
