Job Description: 

FCA is seeking a passionate, innovative, results oriented technology leader to join the Sales and Marketing IT Application build team. As an IT Business Systems Specialist, the selected candidate will provide expertise in the analysis, design, development and integration of IT solutions across the dealership network systems landscape based upon the enterprise wide IT strategy and roadmap. The Business Systems Specialist will provide project management, and coordination on application service request delivery. The Business Systems Specialist is considered an application subject matter expert that provides technical guidance and applications capabilities. The role is an extension of the IT organization, acting as a liaison and bridging / facilitating communication and understanding between IT and supplier partners supporting application development.  Responsibilities: The Business Systems Specialist is responsible for: Understanding the business processes and application capabilities; working closely with supplier partners ensuring project and service request deliverables are met; lead business requirements gathering sessions, document requirements, and coordinate development efforts with our service providers; Execute project management techniques to control and deliver high quality IT solutions to the business and; assist with communication of projects and ensure that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment.

Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in application development, design, and implementation
  •  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in Web technologies (3-tier architecture, Java/J2EE)
  • Experience in documenting Business & System Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership ability on small/medium size projects
  • PMP certified
  • Proven track record of 3+ years performing in a business analyst role
  • Demonstrated experience with Application Architecture & Design, Data Modeling
  • Ability to indirectly lead a cross-functional team towards a common solution
  • Experience in executing Project Management methodologies and techniques
  • Ability to work within an offshore application development supplier engagement model
  • Ability to multitask and work in a cross-functional setting
  • Experience in Web Services and related technologies
  • Experience in handing Infrastructure requirements related to applications
  • Experience working in a Unix environment (scripting and cron)
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business processes
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced/high energy team setting
  • Knowledge of automotive industry and/or Automotive Dealer Network Solution landscape
  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills to gain support of business leaders, IT colleagues, IT leadership, and supplier partners
