The Senior Application Specialist supports a group of applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies. The Senior Application Specialist works closely with OneSource Indirect Determination (SABRIX) tax software and SAP providing production support and overseeing the day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met. The Senior Application Specialist supports a group of applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies. The Senior Application Specialist works closely with OneSource Indirect Determination (SABRIX) tax software and SAP providing production support and overseeing the day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met. The Senior Application Specialist supports software and hardware maintenance and upgrades, monitoring application availability and performs RIC function for SR's. Primary responsibilities include daily guidance to supplier partners in providing 24x7x365 application incident support responding and resolving issues submitted through the ticketing system. The Senior Application Specialist will make application changes to support software upgrades, as well as application migrations to new hardware. Daily application monitoring for availability and change controls within the application portfolio will also need completed. The Senior Application Specialist will manage communication, issue tracking, and resolution of tax related items in SAP, and will review application changes for permanent fixes. The Senior Application Specialist will ensure completion of root causes analysis and application.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
- Minimum 5 years IT Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting sales and use tax and SAP solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of SAP solutions through OneSource Indirect Tax Determination
- Experience with OneSource Indirect Tax Determination for processing sales and use tax
- Knowledge of SAP accounts payable and material management modules
- Knowledge of SunGard Quantum for treasury cash management
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
- Knowledge of various technologies (Windows server and web based)
- Analytical, detail oriented and a strategic thinker with ability to grasp business challenges
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
- Ability to work across multiple area and business areas to drive resolutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
