This position is for a Big Data and Analytics Infrastructure Systems Engineer and Technical lead to implement and support new and rapidly changing technologies which support the Global Analytics community. This position will be focused on Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Greenplum) and advanced analytical tools (including the SAS Suite).

This position will serve as a technical focal point, ensuring alignment and collaboration with Ford Credit Architecture Development and Research on advanced analytics and big data initiatives. It will provide technical leadership, guidance and continued process improvements within the application teams.

  • Serve as primary technical lead and liaison for Ford Credit Risk IT for Analytics and Big Data systems infrastructure
  • Work closely with Ford Credit Architecture Development and Research in building out new analytics/big data technologies for Global Analytics
  • Ensure Technology Life Cycle Planning and focus on best practices for on-going operations.
  • Serve as Primary Linux Infrastructure Specialist for Ford Credit Risk IT, managing their Linux Server Infrastructure, and serve as primary focal point with Ford Motor Linux Infrastructure teams for Global Analytics
  • Serve as primary SAS Infrastructure and Systems Engineer for Ford Credit IT, including installation, tuning, and management of all Ford Credit SAS installations.  Mentor other team members.
Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with deep ability to apply logical reasoning
  • 3+ yrs  with experience in application & infrastructure management
  • 3+ yrs with Linux Server Experience, including File System access control list (ACL), and Security Management
  • Ability to apply approved architectural uses of approved Analytics, Big Data and High Performance Computing technologies, including analytic-focused massively parallel processing (MPP) relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Teradata, Greenplum, Netezza and Hadoop (Hive, Pig, MapReduce, Sqoop, Spark).
  • Aptitude to learn SAS Server Infrastructure design, implementation and management, including both operational (e.g. Customer Intelligence Real Time Decision Manager and Business Intelligence (BI) Web Services) as well as analytical (BI Server, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, High Performance Analytics) usages of a wide array of SAS technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ yrs experience with supporting Analytics and Data Scientist users
  • 2+ yrs experience with Analytical Data Management
