Position Duties:

The Associate In Plant Implementation Knowledge Specialist has working knowledge of manufacturing Plant Floor applications (preferably Plant Floor - machine monitoring, material replenishment (sequencing and kitting), quality, etc.).  The individual will be required to understand the how the applications support the business process and execute tasks necessary to launch the various Plant Floor Applications. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with requirements gathering where discussions about the process are initially reviewed. The assumption is that this individual would be able to step in at any given time during the deployment if technical issues arise and help troubleshoot or provide guidance.  Must be able and willing to effectively communicate and interface with various groups including key supplier.

Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 3+ years IT experience in a Fortune 500 company
  • 2+ years of implementation expertise
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Good working knowledge of the application interfaces
  • Travel required at certain points of the launch

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Vehicle Operations plant floor applications (machine monitoring, material replenishment, quality, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the following:
  • Wherenet
  • ActivPlant
  • Windows 2003 and Windows 8 servers
  • Client / Server based applications
  • Oracle and SQL databases
  • Socket Connections
  • FTP
  • Ability to conduct onsite training to IT and business partners
  • Ability to translate technical details to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business users and IT professionals including globally distributed teams
  • Business relationship skills a plus
